Privacy Policy

Short version: the only personal information this website collects is what you type into the inquiry form, and we use it to answer you. We don't run analytics, we don't set tracking cookies, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
Who we are
This website is operated by Loquin Hospitality, a trade name of 14140036 Canada Inc., a short-term rental management company based in Toronto, Ontario.
For anything in this policy — including a request to see or delete your information — write to [email protected]. That inbox is monitored by the people who run the company, not a ticketing system.
What this policy covers
This policy is about this website and the owners who contact us through it.
If you are a guest staying at a property we manage, your booking information is collected and held by the platform you booked through (such as Airbnb) under that platform's own privacy terms, and by our property management system. It is not governed by this page.
What we collect
Information you give us
The inquiry form asks for:
- Your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number
- The address of the unit you're asking about
- The unit type, its current state, and whether the building permits short-term rentals
- Anything you choose to write in the free-text notes field
That's it. There are no hidden fields beyond a single empty spam trap, which is there to catch automated submissions and is discarded.
Information collected automatically
We do not run web analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this site. This site sets no cookies of its own.
Two things still happen automatically, and you should know about both:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type — as part of serving and protecting the site. We use these only for security and troubleshooting.
- Google Fonts. The typefaces on this site load from Google's servers, which means your browser's IP address is visible to Google when a page loads. If you'd rather that didn't happen, a content blocker will stop it and the site will simply fall back to a system font.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use what you send for exactly one purpose: to assess whether your unit is a fit, and to reply to you about it. That may include looking up public information about the building and comparable listings nearby.
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), we rely on your consent, which you give by choosing to send the form. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you didn't ask for.
Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. It is shared only with:
- Our form provider, Formspree, which receives the form submission and passes it to us by email.
- Our hosting provider, which serves this website and keeps the request logs described above.
- Anyone we're legally required to disclose to — a court order, a regulator, or a law enforcement request we're obliged to answer.
Service providers may process or store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where local authorities can compel access under that country's laws. We keep the number of providers deliberately small for this reason.
How long we keep it
If we work together, we keep your inquiry as part of the client record for as long as the relationship lasts and for seven years afterwards, which is what Canadian business and tax record-keeping expects.
If we don't work together, we keep the inquiry for 24 months and then delete it. We keep it that long because owners often come back a year or two later, and it saves you repeating yourself.
You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any time, and we will.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- Withdraw your consent and ask us to delete what we hold
- Complain about how we've handled it
Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days, which is the period PIPEDA sets. There's no charge.
If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are encrypted in transit, and access to inquiries is limited to the people at Loquin who need to act on them. No system is perfect, and we won't claim otherwise — but the less we collect, the less there is to lose, which is the main reason we collect so little.
Children
This site is aimed at property owners and isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your information, we'll email you about it rather than quietly editing the page.
